Yes, this is true but over the past few years it's something I've come to expect from them. Sigh!!! Definitely, when it comes to Liverpool, a case of "it's not over till it's over".

Would have thought this may have been the Queen "I want to ride my bicycle" song?

Apparently my car doesn't like the competition...

Especially given the threats I'm making to use the bike to work, to avoid the stupid levels of traffic in the mornings!

Default Favourite Outdoor Activity....

...... Probably still Airshows!

I am still a big kid at heart.

When I go to an Air show, in particular at Biggin, I still feel like a little kid of about 8, with my Dad, Syd! I absolutely love them!

I wish we’d had affordable digital cameras, with long lenses, back in the late 50s, to capture the wonderful (and very noisy) cold war planes like the Buccaneer, and the Lightning!

Anyway, here are few pics of yesterday's Festival of Flight, at Biggin Hill Kent. If you have a couple of minutes, feel free to scroll through them to see some of the wonderful aircraft current and vintage) in flight!

As ever, it was a fantastic show!
Cheers, K.

Used to also love air shows, then I worked a bit at them... still nice to go to the odd one though.

@JP, I was told that that eclipse was only full in The States and it was full across their whole landmass which is apparently quite unusual. I wonder if that included Hawaii and Alaska.

No real news my side, it's become boringly busy.
One good thing - I stopped smoking a while back

Sandtonman, thanks for the link to the airshow and the photos. Never actually been to one myself but have seen, from a short distance away, what passed for an airshow here at Ysterplaat. Was a "few" years ago. Couldn't see what was happening low down but could see the planes in the air. Cannot remember what planes they were but whatever they were it was nothing in comparison to what you saw.

Jean P, was the solar eclipse visible in South Africa? Thought it was only visible in America? So, no, I never watched it.
