Default PVR doesn't reboot completely aftr power out

@MCA itv

When my PVR is in standby mode and I have a power outage, the PVR does not reboot completely. In order for the reboot to complete I have to switch it on manually (out of standby mode). The reboot then completes.

This is a bit of a problem as a scheduled recording will not occur if there is a power outage when I am nt at home. (I usually have at least one during an electrical storm).

Is this supposed to happen?

I have partially resolved this problem by installing a UPS, but if the outage lasts for longer than 30 minutes, no scheduled recordings take place.

This is issue 065 at http://hd-pvr.pbwiki.com

That does not help you, but at least you know that others have the same problem

Hopefully it is addressed in the upcoming software version.

It was a dark and stormy night.
(But because his installation was sound, his DStv reception was perfect.)

Just set the standby to never, it solves so many problems and not going into standby doesn't cause any so it really is a no brainer.

@Frank
This is currently "normal" when you have a power outage while in standby. It does a channel scan when you first switch on. You will also see that the time is showing GMT.
