Default Failed recordings... or not

So the latest oddity for me is when does a failed recording make it to the failed recordings list and when does it not? As can be seen from photos, both Blue Bloods and Taken failed to record, yet only Taken appears on the failed recording list. Perhaps it has something to do with the Blue Bloods recording still appearing on the scheduled recordings list even after it failed (this has happened more than once this week)

That must be the case but MC needs to get to the bottom of why it is still showing there?
