Hi All,

Apologies, for the late reply. Our team is currently investigating this issue and as soon as I have feedback I will revert back.

Same problem tonight - the EPG was updated to show Modern Family starting at 19h39 but my series recording was not - still showing 19H30. Images attached - Explora 1.

My recording of The Blacklist Redemption was faultless

1 Minute of Big Bang Theory upfront and 1 minute of Little Big lies at the end.

I did not check anything before the start I was busy elsewhere.

Thursday night has been the problem night for me as I have a few back to back recordings

I had a quick loop at the EPG and Planned Schedules. They are all perfectly aligned with the schedule mirroring the EPG. I don't not anticipate any problems tonight. Only time will tell

Hello

Have you experienced any new issues? We now suspect there is a problem with the system that updates the EPG as we noticed a similar problem on M-Net on Wednesday last week.

I have been monitoring the EPG schedules for the 18:30-1930 timeslot very closely.

It is normally scheduled at 18: -19:30 for the whole week and then updated about a day before the airing to accommodate the extra commercial breaks.

Tonight's has been rescheduled for 18:32-19:39 and the schedule for the rest of the day has been amended.

Currently the schedules for the rest of the week still reflect the 18:30-19:30 schedule.

As long as the alterations are made timeously it will not effect our recording schedule as event tracking will take care of it.

To answer your question I had no further problems, all the recordings for the past week were perfect thank you.

I'm not 100% sure but I suspect a reboot after the EPG update might fix the issue so if the EPG gets updates the day before (as opposed to on the day) it should be fine due to the maintenance reboot - but I could be wrong.

It always used to updated even if EPG changes were made on the day though.

Turns out I was wrong. I saw tonight that the EPG again has Modern Family starting at 19h38 but my scheduled series recording still showed 19h30. I did a reboot but the scheduled recording remained at 19h30. This creates potential for major problems.

What makes this stranger is that last week my series recording WAS changed to start at 19h38 at some stage (the EPG definitely had it as 19h30 to start with) so why the difference? Are there different ways of updating the EPG? Or are some updates not done correctly/in-full that they do not trigger an update to scheduled recordings?

Yes a mess once again. The first 7 minutes of the recording of the Blacklist Redemption contained the last 7 minutes of The Big Bang Theory. The Blacklist Redemption recording ended on the correct time though and Bull was unaffected.

Was your episode correctly recorded? This may be an interface issue: the Explora displays the time the recording was initially set at and not the final recorded time when you press 'i', however, the recording takes place at the most recently updated times on the EPG. We've referred this to the decoder team.

Was this recording made on an Explora? There is an issue with back-to-back recordings on older decoders, but this shouldn't happen with the Explora.
