In an XtraView setup the secondary decoder can now be delinked from the primary decoder, without both decoders being active in a XtraView setup. (HGPC2 screen). Essentially if a customer brings the decoder for repair/trouble shooting, they no longer need to bring in their primary decoder. Both decoders can now work independently of each other. This is just one of the advantages
Some very interesting developments... can this one please be explained in more detail, some people may think it means that the heartbeat is no longer needed for usage which I'm sure isn't true.

Does this relate to new channels on a transponder, or somehow to newly introduced transponders??

the heartbeat is still very important, however in the instance of troubleshooting, or if the decoder needs to be taken to the branch- now you no longer need to take in both decoders, They can be fixed independantly of each other

will this also allow (in the future at least) for account changes and XV enabling and disabling to happen via the customer login interface?

Section 3 - What new features are in this release

 All HD PVR enabled subscribers will now have access to the BoxOffice listing screen. They will be entitled to view trailers.
* This was already available, I could watch trailers on Box Office from her compact subscribtions over a year ago.

 Updated DStv branding
* Only change I see with DStv's new branding is DStv Touch, the color scheme in the background of menus is still dark blue, DStv On Demand and Box Office still has the old logo's.

It looks for me like all text is more bolder.
But the decoder feels much smoother now.

PS: Hope to see some new exciting features later this year

I see on the bootup, there is a DSTV logo, where I used to have a black screen until PVR loading appeared. The operation of the pvr felt very smooth, will test tonight

Working nicely. Pity the i-plate still looks like something out of the 80s.

Hi folks. Posting on behalf of friend with a Pace 4T.

Anyone seen runaway P+ and P- after the firmware update ? A single push of either button tends to run like you have a finger held down. All other channel search methods are fine

I did perform a flash erase in addition to try speed the unit up. Seems to have helped some.

Any advice welcome

Jip, had the run-away P+ P- once this morning (might have been still half asleep).

Are you referring to the run away that runs through all of the channels sometimes 3 or 4 times before stopping.
If so I have had this on the Pace 4 tuner a few times
