Default Hard drive failures on multiple Exploras

I hope someone can provide some help on my issue.
I have an installation with 2 exploras (older version) on extra view. My installation has the smart LNB installed.

A couple of months ago my second (xtraview) Explora started having intermittent E04-4 smart card errors, which would initially go away only with hard reset. The hard drive then eventually started saying disk full and nothing accessing the hard drive worked
So in January we took the Explora in to DSTV service centre. They swopped out the decoder, even though they found nothing wrong on our old decoder. When this new Explora was connected at home it immediately showed E04-4 and hard disk full. I then attempted a full format from the menu, which did not complete. I then did hard reformat (from buttons) in front which gave a FAIL.

Last week I took this Explora back to dstv service centre. Initially they could find nothing wrong, hard drive worked fine no E04-4. When they tried hard format the Explora gave a fail. So then they gave me another Explora and a new smart card. We tested this Explora

I took this third Explora home , connected it into the system.. Immediately again the following appeared Hard disk full and E04-4(no smart card) error. Checking the system status it says no hard drive detected.

Can someone please advise my next steps. Is it possible for wrong installation to cause an Explora to present with hard drive failures?

I strongly recommend you get an accredited installer to come check your installation.

Sounds like a SLNB failure (old type LMX 500 with 4 unicable ports). But could also be nothing more than a cable connector issue.
