Default Walka 7

Hi, I purchased a Walka 7 and was told that one of the channels I'll get is MNet Mobile, but when I go to that channel it shows I can't get it. Why is that? I live in Pretoria, Rietfontein and when I checked if I'm in the coverage area it shows that I am.

Welcome. So it sounds like you're getting other channels ok on the Walka?
Are you maybe not on Premium - only Premium subscribers also have access to the M-Net channel on Mobile.

Hi, yes, I get all the other channels I was told I'd get. I pay R49 p/m, probably not on Premium then?

Definitely not Premium on a decoder costs nearly a Grand a month. Not sure what you're paying for, maybe EasyView.

@MC - I see in another thread that this customer has analogue M-Net - does that not also allow for access via Mobile? I'm presuming not, but suspect that's where the confusion arose.

Ok. I'd forgotten that non-Premium are charged for the Mobile services access.

Unfortunately, analogue M-Net is not the same as the satellite Premium package at all, so clearly you don't get the discount or access to the M-Net service on Mobile.

Also note that it's not quite the same M-Net service, you guys on analogue get more sport and soapies.
Don't think I can help further.

Hi odieolivier

@Optimist is right - M-Net analogue customers don't have access to the M-Net channel on mobile subscripttion, as it is not the same as the DStv (satellite) Premium package.
