Default DSD1131 not working

Recently had a storm and my standard decoder (extra view) now does not work. Red and green lights flash simultaneously and orange light is on. Have unplugged to reset but this has not helped. This decoder is fed from my hd pvr which is working fine. Has this decoder blown?

That does not sound good at all. I would suggest taking it to the branch if you can - not sure where you are based?

does the decoder scan? If it does not, it points to a hardware failure

Default DSD 1131 not working

Thanks for the responses. The unit does not react to any remote control commands and after unplugging and re-plugging it into the mains it just continues to flash as described in my original post (orange permanently on and red and green flash simultaneously) - I think this decoder will decode no more RIP ?????? Please advise, I live in Umtentweni on the lower South Coast.

Seems I have the same problem. I was away from home for almost a week and only noticed it tonight. Reset button dont work at all. Unplugging to reset causes red, orange and green light flashing. When that stops only a red light is on. Pressing the power button on remote causes a quick flash of the green light but nothing happens. A 2nd press does nothing. I dont know if we had a storm in Sasolburg while I was gone, but all other appliances are fine. I bought my Pvr and decoder (xview) through Teljoy and thus have insurance through them. Should I give them a call 1st or go to a shop. Please advise on accredited stores in my region as well please.

Not a single response......
I called Teljoy on Monday morning and they brought a replacement decoder(1132) with them. The call to Teljoy took about 2mins and the labour(technician) 20mins to set up and reactivate xtra view. All within a 24hour period, costing me only a few bucks in phonecalls.
Thank you Teljoy!

Default DSD1131 not working

This morning, my DSD1131 seems not to be working. Only the orange light comes on. No green light. The red flashes. The TV says Extra View Alert - Waiting for connection from primary decoder. 143-4
Is this because it rained today?
How do I get DSTV to work again? Please help.

E143-4Home gateway HNA expired A transmission error from MC
XtraView settings being incorrect on either or both the decoders This could have happened after a power cut or if the decoder(s) were switched off at the power source."
OR after a s/w upgrade on either of the decoders

Yes this could have ocurred because of a loss of signal.
Reboot the primary decoder and then reboot the secondary decoder after the Primary has completed its cycle.

Hi there, I started having the same problem with my 1131 ( orange light permanently on, red and green flashing) My decoder was unplugged during recent storms and started this issue when there was no storm. It was disconnected for a day and when reconnected booted up fine, after about an hours of watching Tv while changing channels it switched off and the same lights are flashing since.

I assume its the built in power supply, problem is the nearest multichoice seems to be in Randburg and i am in Pretoria.

Any ideas/suggestions
