No, racer; as we have eastablished there is one "pipe" for everyone to share. So MC cannot push movies down the one pipe just for you. The assets will be scheduled for download per normal.
MC will just be checking that your smart-card is properly authorised to receive this content. You have only now disclosed the fact that your decoder (tuner-2) was off line for an extended period and that is why you don't have these assets. Cheers, K.

If you are Premium subscriber, and have a good internet connection either ideally uncapped you can make use of the online catchup service, the downside is watching it on a computer screen,

Nah, Lyndon; dedicated PC in HT rack with HDMI into BIG screen; good for MC on-line content, plus the unmentionable device and quality content from "Auntie" via the VPN
I broke the 50GB monthly download barrier in march for the first time I'm catching up with merv
Cheers, K.

haha, almost Keith, I actually only did about 80GB in March. I'm up over 60 so far this month though
I would use the online DOD if it could be streamed via a media player

i have tried downloading OnDemand, and watching it at home, but it wont play, needs to authenticate or something, so it's offline functionality not so great
