In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules:
Forum Terms and Conditions
  1. This is an agreement between yourself and MultiChoice. Your use of the MultiChoice discussion boards constitutes your acceptance of these discussion board terms and conditions of use and the discussion board rules. You must comply with the discussion board rules. If you do not agree to abide by these discussion board terms and conditions of use and the discussion board rules, please do not use the discussion boards.
  2. MultiChoice accordingly provides you with access to MultiChoice discussion boards “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MultiChoice disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties.
  3. The entire risk arising out of your use of the MultiChoice discussion boards remains solely with yourself and the company shall have no liability to you or any third party due to any loss or damage sustained by you arising out of your use of the discussion boards.
  4. In particular, MultiChoice shall not be liable for any defamatory content posted by you, or other users about you, to MultiChoice discussion boards, nor any other content which is hurtful, harmful or hateful (whether based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion or otherwise).
  5. Any information transmitted by you is transmitted in an unencrypted manner to an open, public forum, and is not confidential. All information that is disclosed by you in MultiChoice discussion boards becomes public information and you should therefore exercise caution when deciding to share any of your personal information.
  6. By disclosing personal information such as your name and email address in MultiChoice discussion boards, you acknowledge and understand that this information may be collected and used by other persons, other than MultiChoice, to send you unsolicited email.
  7. You acknowledge and accept that you are solely responsible for your activities carried out when using MultiChoice discussion boards and MultiChoice does not endorse any information submitted by you. You may be held legally liable for the content of any communications made by you in the MultiChoice discussion boards, as well as accountable if content transmitted by you to MultiChoice discussion board includes, for example, material protected by copyright or trademark, without the permission of the author or the owner, or for defamatory comments made by you.
  8. You expressly agree that MultiChoice will not be liable for any loss or damage, including direct, consequential, incidental, indirect, special or other damages resulting from your use of MultiChoice discussion boards and you hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless MultiChoice, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against all claims, actions, damages, liabilities and costs, including attorneys costs on the attorney and own client scale and experts charges related to or arising from (i) any breach by you of these discussion board terms and conditions of use and (ii) any claim or contention that information submitted by you infringes any third parties trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights or violates any third parties rights of privacy.
  9. Your failure to comply with these discussion board terms and conditions could result in your being disconnected from MultiChoice discussion boards. Repeated offences will result in your being banned from MultiChoice discussion boards.
Forum Rules

1. Introduction. Users should act responsibly at all times, respect the rights of other users, respect the integrity of the MultiChoice systems and observe all relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

2. Nicknames and channel names. Do not use obscene, rude, crude or insulting nicknames and/or channels names.

3. Pornographic material. Advertising the distribution and/or the distribution of all forms of pornographic material is prohibited.

4. Obscene material. Do not display obscene, lewd, or sexually harassing images or text on a public channel and/or in a private communication with another party without the prior consent of the MultiChoice chat moderator and/or the other party.

5. Copyrighted material. Do not advertise the illegal distribution and/or the distribution of copyrighted content, which includes without limitation software, text and images, to the chat forum without the permission of the owner. Users must acknowledge and respect the work of others through strict adherence to software licensing agreements and copyright laws.

6. Transmitting of content. Do not transmit any content (i) that you do not have the right to transmit under law or under a contractual relationship (such as proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed to you as an employee or which you have access to under a non-disclosure agreement) and (ii) that contains information regarding pirated computer programs or links to such programs, or information used to circumvent copy/protect devices installed by manufacturers on software, including serial or registration numbers for software programs, or provide links to pirated music files.

7. Commercial purposes. Use for commercial or advertising purposes, or for the transmission of promotional materials or for purposes of participating in multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes is prohibited.

8. Advertising. Do not advertise other channels, servers, discussion forums and/or radio stations not owned and/or controlled by MultiChoice.

9. Electronic fraud. Do not commit electronic fraud. Do not forge the identity of a user or machine in an electronic communication. Do not use Socks Proxies, EZBounce, Vhosts, BNC's and/or any other software or hardware method to disguise or hide your own IP address. Do not impersonate any person, including, but not limited to, a MultiChoice employee, channel operator or other participant. No clones are allowed.

10. Racism, hatred or profanity. Do not use expressions of racism, hatred or profanity.

11. Harmful or illegal activities. Do not promote or provide instructions for harmful or illegal activities including but not limited to, abusing or dealing in drugs and assembling bombs and other weapons.

12. Conduct towards others. Do not harass, threaten, embarrass, swear at, sexually harass or abuse another participant

13. Data Protection and Security. Do not attempt to circumvent data protection schemes or uncover security loopholes. This includes without limitation creating and/or running programs that are designed to identify security loopholes and/or decrypt intentionally secure data.

14. Interfering with operations. Do not interfere with the normal operations of computers, servers, and/or users connected to the MultiChoice system.

15. Intentional damage or overloading. Do not run any program intended to damage or to place excessive load on a server. This includes, but is not limited to, mass-invites, mass-messages, and programs known as floodbots and clonebots.

16. Type of Channels. No channels or discussion forums dealing with sex, Warez, MP3 or hacking are allowed.

17. Unauthorised access. Do not gain unauthorised access to a nickserv, chanserv or memoserv account(s) or any other computer system(s).

18. Automated client. Do not connect an automated client, such as a bot, fserv or script to the MultiChoice system without prior authorization by the server's administration.

19. Nuking. Nuking and nuking tools such as 7th Sphere are prohibited.

20. Flooding and CAPS. Do not intentionally, repeatedly or in a rapid manner transmit material producing the effect of harassing a user by "flooding" them. Users may not post the same post in multiple forums. Do not type in CAPITALS.

21. Monitoring or tampering. Do not attempt to monitor or tamper with another user's electronic communications, or read, copy, change, or delete any part of another user's nickserv, chanserv or memoserv account without the express agreement of the owner."

22. Thread etiquette. One liner comments that are negative, defamatory in nature or intended to incite may be moderated. Blatant thread hijacking or the posting of utter nonsense that accomplishes the same goal will be moderated.

23. Thread moderation. Responses to any posts or users that are guilty of violating the above rules, and that also violate the above rules, will also be moderated accordingly. Where a user is unhappy with any moderation, they should email the Webmaster stating their reasons for being unhappy. A user should not publicly argue with nor launch a public attack on the moderator that carried out the original moderation as their method of responding. Based on past occurrences, these type of posts also usually get moderated and don’t achieve anything. Once a user has exhausted all available options, and the moderators/Webmaster still agree with the original moderation that was carried out, then the decision is final and will not be changed. Moderators are not obliged to give a reason for removing posts.

24. Infractions. Moderators may award infractions at their discretion

25. Signatures. The following will not be allowed in signatures: advertising, images, offensive language, banned terms in any form and HTML links. Contravention of these guidelines will result in your signature being removed and repeated offenses could lead to you being banned outright.

26. Spoilers. Please do not post spoilers to the plots of series, shows or movies in the forum. It is poor etiquette and may ruin someone else’s viewing experience.

27. Updates. These Rules and Terms and Conditions may change at any time, it is up to forum users to ensure they check them regularly and do not contravene them at any time.
