Widescreen Movies and Movie stretching

Hi DSTV.

Firstly, I make this post because I am tired of seeing movies being stretched beyond recognition. Why does DSTV do this? The first few seconds is fine, and then it stretches, cutting off half the film, and text?:mad:

Secondly, when will movies be broadcast in native widescreen? At the moment everything gets stretched, hence you can't enjoy movies in widescreen, it still gets stretched? I really hope this will be soon, because it is overdue.:confused:

I would love to hear from other DSTV subscribers and hear their opinion on the matter. Come on Multichoice! Make us happy, even more happy than we are! :)

Its a moot point flogged to death on this forum.

DSTV simply does not have the will and does not care about its paying subscribers wthout whom they won't be in business.

What are you talking about the stretch?
Do you know the decoder has a ARC feature?

Didn't know that. Only now did I find out about the button. Will check it out tonight. If it works I will be happy, otherwise back to square one.

This function is only avaliable on decoders and remotes post 2008. Am I wrong? I Hope I'm wrong.

Don't get too excited - ARC is not implemented on HD Decoders :mad:

It's one of the many features that are missing from the HD product 18 months after launch.
