There seems to be a slow but steady increase in the adverts screened these days.
We pay our subscriptions only to sit and watch adverts ?
I foolishly thought that the concept behind pay-tv was to watch programmes WITHOUT adverts !

uhm with no adverts you subs would be R2500 per month man!

Ahh, so with even more ads, which is inevitable, we can expect our subscriptions to decrease ? I don't think so !

I wish there was a device that could record the programmes and let me fast-forward through the adverts.

Easy, let the PVR buffer fill up and then start watching. ;)

I never watch live TV other than sport, because of the adverts. Record all the movies/series I want to watch and then fast forward through the adverts. It works brilliantly.

We see numerous adverts on the various DSTV channels, especially the sports channels, highlighting future sports presentations. All this is DSTV advertising themselves. Can accept seeing these adverts occasionally but not as often as we do see them. Does this advertising of one's own product on one's own DSTV bouquet bring in extra revenue to Multichoice?

What a good question. The only one I can think of on the HD channel is the car shop advert.I'm a bit worried about this.No adverts on HD and we are going to pay more.

Don't worry Patrick, some of us caught it.

Especially when we see the same advert twice in the same commercial break.

It seems like the TV show is getting in the way of the adverts, these DSTV people need to get their priorities straight, get longer adds and shorter shows to make up the rest of the hour.
